How to Make an Effective Brochure Design
By adan ines | Author Bio | Publish This Article
Since brochures are very versatile materials, designing an effective brochure design is going to be a tricky task. It is easy to get sucked in all the different possibilities and options that are being offered by printing companies causing you to over design and have a poorly executed concept.

In order for your brochure design to be effective, you must need to grasp the basic elements of design and adopt a mind set of limiting the number of elements that you use in your designs. Listed below are some of the most important elements that you should use:

' The name of your company, business or organization
The name of your company or organization should always be included and emphasized in your design. Your audience must be able to easily relate the brochure to your company.

' Your logo
Since it is one of the design elements that help in establishing your company's image, your company logo should always be used in your brochures. However, if your company logo is generally well known, you can put more emphasis on your logo rather than the company name. By doing this, you can further promote your company image and save space at the same time.

' Company Tagline
A company tagline is very important to give your readers a quick idea of what your company does. It should be short and easy to remember. It is especially useful when your company is relatively new.

' Image
Choose an image that will have an emotional connection with your readers. Remember to focus on just one particular audience for every brochure design. The more specific your brochure prints are, the easier it is for you to connect with them.

' Contact information
You should never ever forget to include contact information in your design. There is nothing more frustrating to customer than getting hooked on a product or service only to find no information on how to get it. You should always include:

' Company address
Remember that there are two types of addresses - your physical address and your mailing address. If you choose to include both the physical and the mailing address, it is a good idea to label which one is which.

' Phone Numbers
Follow this order when listing your phone numbers - voice, fax, cell phone. You should also include the area and/or country codes as well as the extension number, if required. A 1-800 toll free number is also greatly appreciated by potential clients and customers.

' Web Page Address and Email Address
Websites are an important element not only for Web-based businesses but for any business establishment. It gives your customers quick and easy access to your company with just a click of the mouse. However, it is optional to include an email address unless this is your preferred way of making business contacts.

' List of Services or Products
If your company offers different products and services, it is best to use one brochure per product. This makes it less confusing for your readers and allows you to sell your products better. Also remember that you should always prioritize what your clients needs and what your product can do to help them.
